Tossed, a trailblazer in the healthy eating movement, brought in Yapster in August 2018 as part of a wider revamp of their reward and recognition programme. Frontline communication was moved to Yapster to keep their fast-growing teams connected to management, and each other.
How it worked
Reflecting the company’s vision of making every member of staff feel part of the family, anyone at Tossed can use Yapster to send 1-1 and group messages and share team news and successes (and even the odd selfie) to the social newsfeed.
An independent consultant analysed 12 months of pre-Yapster, and 5 months of post-Yapster, staff turnover data across 14 Tossed locations.
The pre-Yapster staff data covers the period September 2017 through to February 2019. The Yapster data covers the period from the last week of August 2018 to March 2019 across all retained staff at those 14 locations.
THE Results
They found a direct correlation between the volume of messages sent by a manager and the improvement in staff turnover rate at their location.
Since Yapster was introduced:
Staff turnover rate improved at 11 of the 14 LOCATIONS
the average staff turnover for the 14 locations has reduced by 30%.
There has been a 71% decrease in the number of leavers within the first 13 WEEKS
